Every water intake is a compromise between capturing flow and excluding everything else: debris, sediment, fish and ice. Standard catalogue screens resolve that compromise for an average site that does not exist. We engineer each screen for the site it will actually serve.
Aden Group covers the full path from hydraulic design to fabricated stainless steel: sizing calculations, screen geometry, manufacturing and installation support, delivered through the Adenco and Aden Wedge Wire brands operated by Adenso.
Coanda screens use the tendency of flowing water to follow a curved surface, drawing clean water through a tilted wedge wire panel while debris and most sediment wash over the top. The result is a self-cleaning intake with no moving parts and minimal maintenance.
They excel at run-of-river hydropower intakes and mountain water supplies, where remote locations make maintenance visits expensive and fish-friendly operation is a licensing requirement.

Wedge wire is the workhorse of engineered separation: V-profile wire wound and welded into slots that resist clogging because particles either pass cleanly or stay out. We fabricate flat panels, cylindrical screens, laterals and custom geometries.

The same screening fundamentals serve hydropower operators protecting turbines, municipalities protecting pumps and membranes, and industrial plants protecting processes. What changes is the hydraulic design, the slot size and the mechanical detail, which is exactly the part we engineer per project.
